Bread Care

How to store it.

Like all good things made with time and patience, bread is best enjoyed at its own pace.

Our loaves are baked with a naturally developed crust and crumb, allowing them to keep well for several days when stored properly. Store your bread at room temperature in a bread box, paper bag, or wrapped in a clean kitchen towel. Avoid refrigeration, as it can cause the bread to lose its texture and flavor more quickly.

We also offer handmade bread bags crafted from linen and cotton remnant fabrics. Made in small batches from carefully selected materials, each one brings its own character and charm while providing a beautiful, breathable home for your loaf. Designed to protect your bread while allowing it to breathe, they are both practical and enduring, made to be used and loved for years to come.

As the days pass, your bread will continue to evolve. The crust may soften, the crumb may become a little firmer, and the flavors may deepen. This is a natural part of real bread.

When your loaf needs refreshing, a few minutes in a warm oven will revive the crust and bring new life to the bread, filling your kitchen with the familiar aroma of a fresh bake.

For longer keeping, bread freezes beautifully. Whether frozen whole or sliced for convenience, a gentle warming before serving will help restore its texture and character.

Bread was never meant to last forever. It was meant to be enjoyed, shared, and gathered around while it is at its best.

Store thoughtfully. Enjoy slowly. Share generously.
